This is one of the local fishing villages on the river close to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. The people make their living of fishing.

The Black Oystercatcher is a large entirely black shorebird, with a long (9 cm) bright red bill and pink legs. It has a bright yellow iris and a red eye-ring. The Black Oystercatcher is a species of high conservation concern throughout its range (Wiki).
For the first time in Kovsie history the University crowned a Mr Rag along with the Rag Queen. Thapelo was the second runner up for Mr Rag. This was one of the photos from his portfolio shoot.
The Bloemfontein Celtics hosted the Platinum Stars at the Botshabelo Stadium in a PSL match. The Platinum Stars won the game 1-0.
Both of them are still little, but already they are big friends.

At Sentosa Island, Singapore there used to be a musical fountain, which I presume has been replaced with this show. Lazars and colored lights are still used to project on water, however there are these bird-like creatures with displays also in the show.

We had a "kiekie safarie" at the Bloemfontein Market which was arranged by the Bloemfontein camera club. One of the set subjects was a wide angle photo of the market and this was my version of the theme.

Bloemfontein Celtics played against the Golden Arrows in a PSL match. They won the game 3-2. This photo is a special one for me because the player in red is the goal keeper who missed the ball. This was one of the goals scored by the Bloemfontein Celtics.

It is commonly known as leaf scorpionfish or paperfish. The color of this fish varies from green and red to a ghostly white. The fish is almost as flat as a leaf and resembles a leaf in many other ways. The skin often has blotches that enhance a camouflage effect (Wiki).
Colored lighting, shadows and reflections can add dramatic effects to a simple subject such as these chess pieces.
