Big Buddha

The Big Buddha of Phuket is located on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata and at 45 metres high it is easily seen from far away. It is also a good view point of the island.

Fire Dancer

Currently the International Thai Traditional Medicine Expo is held at the Jungcylon in Phuket. During the expo there is some performers. Tonight I was lucky to get some photos of this fire dancer.

Fireworks are sold on Patong Beach in Phuket and every now and again the sky is lit up with a display of light.

Long Tail Boat

It was another amazing sunset on Patong beach in Phuket. These long tail boats are used for fishing and can also be hired by tourists for transport to various of the nearby islands.

Chinese Gardens

Chinese Garden, also commonly known as Jurong Gardens, is a park in Jurong East, Singapore. Built in 1975 and designed by Prof. Yuen-chen Yu, an architect from Taiwan, the Chinese Garden’s concept is based on Chinese gardening art. The main characteristic is the integration of splendid architectural features with the natural environment (Wiki).

Supertree Grove

Supertrees are tree-like structures that dominate the Gardens’ landscape with heights that range between 25 metres and 50 metres. They are vertical gardens that perform a multitude of functions, which include planting, shading and working as environmental engines for the gardens (Wiki)

Duty Free Shopping

We finally got the chance to go on holiday. We came to Singapore via Hong Kong. I used the opportunity to take some photos while we were in transit at Hong Kong airport. This was one of the duty free shops.
