From nature…. with love….
My photography as a hobby started underwater. It is an amazing, different, colorful world underwater. We have done many dives at Aliwal shoal, Umkomaas where I have captured this twobar clownfish.
It has been a long time since my last post. Everybody, including myself, are always busy. We are now entering a new time period. Some people may experience that it will be more busy (medical staff, emergency staff, scientists, etc.). Others may experience "we don't know what to do" with the time. We have entered a 21 day lock down period from 00:00 to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus. For myself I am going to try again to share my images. Enjoy the journey with me.
We had a photography congress at Moolmanshoek in the Eastern Free State. There are so may photographic opportunities.
On one of the more thechnical rides, I had the opportunity to try my luck at getting some action photos.
We were fortunate to have a short break to Uvongo. Along with the camera gear we also took the mountain bikes and had a few rides. This was at Clearwater trails near Port Edward.
Congratulations to Stef & Charina, who had their wedding at Tuscan Rose in Bloemfontein. Although the weather did not look promising in the early afternoon, we had a beautiful sunset.
We have started mountain biking a view months ago. Riding the off road trails, there are many photographic opportunities. On our sunset ride, I have done this silhouette.
The Isle of Wight, an island off the south coast of England, can be reached with a ferry. It is a beautiful island with lots of landscape photographic opportunities. This was at Totland.
Visiting the UK, a day or two on the “to do list” is to visit London. We went on a river cruise where we got off the ferry at the Tower Bridge and I spent some time to photograph the bridge.
It is highly recommended to do sunrise at Ankor Wat. Even though there was no spectacular clouds, I still loved the photos I got.
One of my favorite temples to visit in Siem Reap is the Bayon. The Bayon’s most distinctive feature is the multitude of serene and smiling stone faces on the many towers which jut out from the upper terrace and cluster around its central peak (Wiki).
Siem Reap became a very popular for touring as there are many ancient temples of which Angkor Wat is probably the most famous one. This one is East Mebon, a 10th Century temple at Angkor.
Local markets are good places to do some street photography. The markets are usually very colorful and interesting. This was one of the markets in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Thabo & Lineo celebrated their wedding at Tuscan Rose. Sunset time still stays my favorite to end off the couple photo session.
Capturing the little ones at six months are very special, especially if they are as friendly as this little one.
